I Am Miyama Hiroto 02

He looked through all the documents that he had regarding the case. Every single bit of the evidence that were there with her murder incident was everywhere on his table. He took one sweet that was in the cup on his table as he tried to clear up his mind The taste of the sweet boost up his brain that was curious with what was actually going on.
He looked at the photos that were taken right afterthe victim, Daigo Sato, was found dead on the couch at the living room hall after the witness made a police report about it. The witness, Akane Iro, was sure that it was the victim that was accused to be the murderer, Emi Sato, was the one who killed the victim, but somehow, the prove wasn’t clear enough to him that she is the murder.
Could it ever be anybody else that went inside the house, killing the victim when he was alone in the living room hall? He sighed as he put the notes for the case papers to the side. He kept on looking on the photos if there was any evidence that it wasn’t her that killed him. He lifted his shoulder up when at the same time he looked at the clock on the wall close enough to him.
It was only seven fifty five in the morning. He went there a little early that day. Most of his working friend either comes sharp on time or a little bit late. The bright light from the glass window close to him was lighting up the office. He looked at the photos of the evidence in front of his as at the same time his brain was thinking. She was said that went to her brother’s house for a visit around three in the evening, and she was about to leave around an hour after that but her brother insist her to join him and his girlfriend for dinner that night.
She really doesn’t want to join him at first but it was her brother. A man that was said she grew up with after the lost of her parents when she was sixteen years old. Currently her age was twenty four years old. She just finished her university and currently working as a clerk at an office somewhere in the city of Tokyo.
Because her brother wanted her to stay, she decided to take a quick rinse in the bathroom as at that time the incident happen.
The only other person inside the house beside her and her brother was his girlfriend, Akane, that caught her red handed holding the knife that was used to kill the victim at that time…
Miyama raised his eyebrow and grunted as he ran his fingers through his hair
‘How could all of this happen?’ he wondered alone. He inhaled a deep breath before he stared blankly at what’s ahead of him. He looked at something but his mind wasn’t concentrate with anything at all. He looked at the notes that they gotten from the one that was accused, but he wasn’t satisfied with the notes at all because it wasn’t him that wrote everything on the piece of paper/
“I need to go and get the information myself,” he said silently.

He grabbed on his bag and he wanted to get out from there, but somehow, at the same time, he heard the sound of two people talking as their footsteps walking towards the room was heard. He looked at who it was and it didn’t surprise him to see Sada Atsuhiro and Ozaki Maiko heading towards him.
He took some important documents that he needed for the case and put it inside his bag. He stood up, with his bag in his hand. He hung the bag right behind his back before he made his way out from there. Maiko looked at his direction as at the same time, he walked out from there.
“Hey, Miyama sensei,” Maiko greeted him. He just lifted his hands up and bowed down to them, “Good morning,” he greeted them as he walked right by their side out from the office. Sada looked at him being a little stellar, walking out from the room. He stopped walking and looked at his direction, he crossed his arms over his chest. He furrowed his eyebrow when Maiko looked blankly at Miyama’s direction.
“Yeah. Have fun outside! Make sure you don’t forget to buy us lunch!” he said mockingly to Miyama. Maiko raised her brows up, “And what’s up with this guy? His attitude has gone crazy right after he got this case,” she said. Sada grumbled, “Well, he got too many things in his mind,” he said sarcastically. Sada walked away towards his office at the other side of the office while Maiko just lifted her shoulders up and walked towards her table,
“Who cares about him anyway,” she said.

It was nine fifteen in the morning. The day has gone by like how it usually have been. People who are working were doing their work while the students are busy at their school or their university. Those people who are happy with their family at home were doing what they always do, living their life alone or rising up their loved one, but somehow for him, work is never done until everything is sort out, settled like the way it should.

He walked outside the corridor outside the meeting room with the prisoner inside the Tokyo police station. His footsteps were heard with each step that he took. He inhaled a deep breath as he was approaching the room that he was going to.
“Let’s hope I got things clear,” he said.
Maybe his friends had got the note from her when they met her earlier as he was still on some issue that he got to settled a few days ago. When he got their notes, he felt like there’s something missing as if there’s question that wasn’t asked from her. He stopped in front of the door and he looked at the number ‘8’ that was on the door. He grabbed on the door knob before he opened the door and he walked inside.
He sat on the chair on the other side of the plastic that connect two person from another ‘world’ inside the room. He opened his bag and took out his notebook, along with the pen that he always used. He put both of it on the table in front of him before he took out his name card for him to introduce himself to her.
His eyes were looking around inside the empty room as she still isn’t at the other side. He inhaled a deep breath even though he tried to smile. Maybe he had met her before but in a very short time because suddenly something came up and he needed to go.

He waited for her to be there and somehow in the silent of the room, suddenly the door from the other side was opened and she walked inside the room.
Miyama looked at her before he stood up to greet her.
She looked at his direction when he held out his card to show her who he was, “Hello, Miss Sato. I’m Miyama Hiroto, the attorney that is handling your case,” he said to her as he bowed down.
She was startled to see him right in front of her,
“Miyama Hiroto?” she said his name.
Slowly, he looked at her without any words was said…
“Emi Sato,” he said her name.

I Am Miyama Hiroto 01

It was another day, another night as the day had passed. The sounds of vehicles were heard as they went on the road somewhere in the city of Tokyo. It was already eight forty five at night. Some people already went back home from their day at work, but some just started their duty at night.
At the side of the road, he walked back to the place he called his home at the backstreet of buildings in the city of Tokyo. He loosens the neck tie that he had worn from earlier that day until it was right then. He seldom came back home this late at night, but there’s always something that was hidden behind the story that was told but he knew that none of it could clarify everything with what only was said.
He stopped right in front of the diner with the room he had been living in upstairs. He ran his fingers through his partly neat hair. He inhaled a deep breath as he closed his eyes at the same time before he pushed the door opened. He walked inside the diner.
“I’m back,” he said. He grabbed on the backpack holder on his shoulder before he walked towards the counter. Kanako turned around and looked at his direction, “Miyama san!” she said, feeling excited to see him there. He only lifted his hand to her, “Hey,” he said. The man behind the counter, his cousin, Bando Kenta, looked at his direction. Miyama put the bag that was on his shoulder before on the counter. He sat on the chair right in front of the counter. Bando looked at him curiously, he poured Miyama a glass of orange juice and put it on the counter right in front of him,
“Too much work?” he asked him. Miyama just lifted his shoulder up before he grabbed on the juice and drank it. “Kind of,” he said. Miyama looked away as he felt like his head wasn’t really functioning that well. He put the cup back down on the counter, “I’m quite tired to even think of anything tonight,” he replied Bando. Kanako looked at him curiously, “But why, Miyama san?” she asked him.
Miyama didn’t even look at her. He just grabbed on his bag and he sighed. He didn’t close the shop door shut as he got inside. He could feel wind slightly blew against his skin before he stood up from where he sat on. Kensuke looked at him, “Aren’t you going to at least eat first before you go?” he asked him. Miyama shakes his head from side to side, “No, maybe not but thanks,” he said. He walked pass the door, and head towards the stairs at the side of the diner before he climb it up and gets towards his room
At the same time, Akashi walked inside the diner, feeling crazy like he always have been, “Akashi is in the house!” he said. Miyama walked passed him and straight towards the stairs as he climb upstairs. Akashi was startled to see Miyama’s mischief behavior that night. He turned towards Kanako and Bando, “And what’s up with him?” he asked them. She lifted her shoulders up, “I don’t know! You’re the one working with him, not me!” she said to him.
Akashi thought for a while when she said that to him…
“Oh yeah…. It’s me… Not you…” he said. He walked towards the counter and looked at the menu on the table… “And I’m really hungry right now…” he said. She furrowed her face and hit him with her hand. Akashi grunted as he felt slight pain, “Ow! Why?!” he asked her. She gritted her teeth against each other, “Why don’t you even care about his condition?!” she asked him furiously.”And how would I know?! It’s his life not mine!” he replied her. She furrowed her face, “Whatever!” she said. Akashi rubbed on his shoulder that she had hit him earlier.
Bendo lifted his shoulders before he turned around to continue doing what he was doing. He adjust the wig on his hair as it moved slightly, “Ah, maybe he have a problem with his own life.. You shouldn’t be bothered about it,” he said and he continue doing his work.

**

He walked on the corridor at the side of few rooms that he  had been living in. The light upstairs was slightly dim as there was only one small window at the other side. He stopped right in front of his room and he opened the door and he gets inside of it. He closed on the door. He took off his shoes, he turned around and walked towards the single bed inside the room. He put his bag on the bed before he took off the coat that he wore and hung it on the hanger close to him. He turned on the light as the switch was at the other side of his room. He undo his die and he started to unbutton the shirt that he wore one by one. He sat down on his bed and he let himself falls down on it before he inhaled a deep breath and closed his eyes…
He tried not to think about anything else at that time, but he could still see her smile…
“Why are you still in my mind,” he wondered about the lady he last saw apart from his work mates earlier that day. He knew that he was handling her case, he never had felt like this before… but why this time?? Why her? He could still see her smile even though she was behind the bar she was held as a prisoner… He could only hear her voice talking to her, but… he felt like there’s something different about this lady…

He was started to see that it was her to be the client that he got to defend. He knew that work is just work, there won’t be any emotion involved.
He knew that it was against his rules of being an attorney for her case, maybe he was too tired from too much work but he knew, he felt awkward even just talking to her…

It was against his rules of being an attorney for her case, to be feeling weird about her… Maybe he was too tired from too much work but he knew, he felt do awkward even just talking to her…
